Answer :- The magnitude of a quantity is determined by comparing it with its unit.
For example, when we say that the length of a table is 2 meters, it means that if two meter scales are placed end to end in a proof, they will be equal to the length of the table.

Question 1. Mention any three things to be kept in mind while writing the abbreviations of SI units with examples.
Answer :- (I) English names of units should not start with capital letter.
Eg :- Writing 1 Ampere is wrong.
It is correct to write 1 ampere.
(II) Plural is not used in units.
Eg :- Not grams, gram is written.
(III) In Hindi also, the abbreviations of the units should be written in English letters only.
Like :- Kilogram to kg.
