* Human heart
The heart is a very soft, muscular structure which is located in the middle of the chest cavity, under the ribs and between the two lungs. The heart is the central pumping organ which circulates the blood throughout the body by exerting pressure on it.
structure of heart
The shape of the heart is triangular. Its wide part is towards the front and the narrow part is towards the back and it leans towards the left.
functions of the heart
The heart receives impure blood from all parts of the body. Then that impure blood is sent to the lungs for purification and after receiving the pure blood from the lungs, it is pumped to different parts of the body, due to which blood circulates in the body.
Note :-
1. There are four chambers in the human heart which are called right atrium, left atrium and right ventricle, left ventricle.
2. The right and left atrium are in the broad front of the heart. These two are separated from each other by a separator. This partition is called the interatrial wall.
3. The right and left ventricles are located in the narrow posterior part of the heart. These two are separated by the interventricular wall.
4. Both the atria have thin walls. While the walls of the ventricles are thicker than these.
