🖊 Syntax :- Grammar का वह खंड जिसमें sentence के भागों का पारस्परिक संबंध बताया जाता है और words से sentence बनाने की विधियाँ बताई जाती है । , उसे Syntax कहते है ।
Syntax के नियम निम्नलिखित हैं
1. S - S & P - P rule :- Singular subject के साथ singular verb और Plural subject के साथ Plural verb प्रयोग किया जाता है ।
जैसे : He goes to school .
They go to school .
2. Distributive pronouns {each , either , neither , every one } में से कोई subject होता है तो singular verb का प्रयोग किया जाता है ।
जैसे :- Each boy is going to school .
Either of the two boys is coming .
3. Plural indefinite pronouns{both , many , some , few} में से कोई subject होता है तो Plural verb का प्रयोग किया जाता है ।
जैसे :- The have gone to school .
Many have come .
Few have come .
4. Infinitive या gerund मे से कोई subject हो तो singular subject प्रयोग किया जाता है ।
जैसे :- To walk is good exercise ।
walking is good for health ।
5. Adjective का plural नहीं होता है । परंतु कुछ adjective के पहले The रख देने से वह plural बन जाता है । इसलिए इसके साथ plural verb का प्रयोग किया जाता है ।
जैसे :-
The poor are honest .
The sick are helpless .
The rich are dishonest .
6. यदि relative pronouns {how , which ,that} में से कोई subject हो तो verb उसके antecedent noun या pronoun के number के अनुसार लिखा जाता है ।
जैसे : - The boys who are standing there are my brothers .
The boy who is standing there is my brother .
7. जब दो subject को and से जोड़ा जाता है तो plural verb का प्रयोग किया जाता है ।
जैसे :- Ram and Shyam are going to school.
नोट : -
(i). and से subject को जोड़ने के लिए 231 structure को याद रखना चाहिए ।
(ii) यदि and से जोड़े जाने वाले दोनों subject से एकही व्यक्ति का बोध हो तो singular verb प्रयोग किया जाता है ।
जैसे : The headmaster and secretary is coming .

(iii) यदि and से जोड़े जाने वाले दोनों subject मिलकर एकही वस्तु बनाए तो singular verb का प्रयोग किया जाता है ।
जैसे : Fish and bread is good died .
8. जब दो subject को either.......or या Neither........nor से जोड़ा जाता है तो verb 2nd subject के अनुसार लिखा जाता है ।
जैसे :- Either he or I am going to school .
Neither Mohan nor his friends are going to market .
9. जब दो subject को with से जोड़ा जाता है तो verb first subject के अनुसार लिखा जाता है ।
जैसे :- Sita with her children is going to market.
10. जब दो subject को of से जोड़ा जाता है तो verb first subject के अनुसार लिखा जाता है ।
जैसे :- The father of these boys is coming .
The price of these things is increasing .

(iii) यदि and से जोड़े जाने वाले दोनों subject मिलकर एकही वस्तु बनाए तो singular verb का प्रयोग किया जाता है ।
जैसे : Fish and bread is good died .
8. जब दो subject को either.......or या Neither........nor से जोड़ा जाता है तो verb 2nd subject के अनुसार लिखा जाता है ।
